Questions?
Here are answers to some of the most common questions about starting therapy and working together.
If you don't see your question here or would like to see if we may be a good fit, you're welcome to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can briefly talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're looking for, and whether my approach may be a good fit for your needs. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.

Our first session is an opportunity for me to learn more about you, what brings you to therapy, and what you would like to work toward. We'll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and the patterns or experiences that may be affecting you today.
You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We'll start with where you are and move at a pace that feels appropriate.

A previous experience with therapy that wasn't helpful doesn't necessarily mean therapy can't be helpful now. Sometimes the approach, timing, or relationship with the therapist simply wasn't the right fit.
My approach is collaborative and goes beyond simply talking about what is happening. Together, we can explore patterns, emotions, past experiences, and what may be happening within your nervous system, while finding an approach that makes sense for you.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, chronic stress and burnout, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, grief, maternal mental health concerns, and patterns connected to difficult past experiences or relationships.
I especially enjoy working with people who may understand themselves intellectually but still feel emotionally stuck or find themselves repeating patterns they want to change.

Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Riverside, California, as well as online therapy for adults located throughout California.
Both options provide the same individualized approach to therapy, allowing you to choose the setting that works best for you.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions so we can build consistency and momentum in the work. Over time, session frequency may change depending on your needs, goals, progress, and what we determine together is most supportive.

There isn't one timeline that fits everyone. The length of therapy depends on what brings you in, your goals, the complexity of what we're working through, and how your needs change over time.
We'll continue to check in about your progress and goals so that our work together remains intentional and meaningful.

Yes. I currently accept IEHP, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, and Spring Health EAP. Insurance coverage and benefits can vary by plan, so eligibility and benefits will be verified before beginning services.
For clients with out-of-network benefits, I can also provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan.
