Compassionate, comprehensive psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including VAWA, Extreme Hardship, Asylum, U-Visa, T-Visa, and Cancellation of Removal. Evaluations are available in English and Spanish.
What Is an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?
The information gathered during the evaluation is used to prepare a detailed psychological report that may be submitted by your immigration attorney as supporting documentation in your case.
I understand that sharing personal or painful experiences can feel overwhelming. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive, with the goal of helping you feel comfortable and supported throughout the evaluation process.
An immigration psychological evaluation is a comprehensive clinical assessment that helps document the emotional and psychological experiences that may be relevant to your immigration case.
During the evaluation, we'll take time to understand your personal history, important life experiences, current circumstances, and the emotional impact these experiences have had on you and your family.
Evaluations are available virtually throughout California and in person in Riverside, in both English and Spanish.
We provide specialized assessments for the following immigration applications:
-
A psychological evaluation can help document the emotional and psychological impact that separation, relocation, or other significant changes may have on you or a qualifying family member.
-
For individuals who have experienced abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, parent, or adult child, a VAWA psychological evaluation can help document the emotional and psychological effects of those experiences in a compassionate, trauma-informed way.
-
For individuals who have experienced qualifying criminal victimization, a psychological evaluation can help document the emotional and psychological impact of the experience, including symptoms that may have developed afterward.
-
For individuals seeking asylum after experiencing or fearing persecution, an evaluation can help document the psychological effects of past experiences and current fears, including symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, or depression.
-
A psychological evaluation may help document the emotional and psychological impact that removal or family separation could have on qualifying family members and the family as a whole.
-
For individuals who have experienced human trafficking, a psychological evaluation can help document the emotional and psychological impact of those experiences, including symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, depression, or other psychological distress.
Our Process
1. Schedule Your Evaluation2. Complete Your Assessment
Following your assessment, I'll prepare a comprehensive psychological report that brings together your history, relevant experiences, clinical findings, and the emotional and psychological impact of your circumstances.
Your completed report will be prepared for you and your immigration attorney to use as supporting documentation in your case.
You and/or your immigration attorney will have an opportunity to review the completed report and request corrections to factual information when needed.
This review is included as part of the evaluation process because accuracy and attention to detail are important when preparing your final report.
We'll meet individually for a 120-minute clinical interview where you'll have the opportunity to share your history, experiences, and any emotional or psychological concerns relevant to your immigration case.
Evaluations are available in person in Riverside, California, or virtually throughout California, allowing you to choose the setting that feels most comfortable and convenient.
Contact me to get started and discuss scheduling your immigration psychological evaluation. I'll answer any initial questions you may have and provide the information you'll need before your appointment.
