MEET ROMYNA

A warm space for deeper healing

I help adults understand what’s happening beneath the surface, process what they’ve been carrying, and create meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy

You may be the person others depend on. You keep going, handle what needs to be handled, and appear capable on the outside. But underneath, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to change.

Maybe you understand where some of it comes from. Maybe you don’t. Either way, you don’t need to arrive at therapy with the perfect explanation.

We can start with where you are.

           MY APPROACH

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity.

I believe meaningful therapy happens when you feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to look beneath the surface, and supported enough to approach the things that may have felt too difficult to face alone.

I won’t simply sit back and ask, “How does that make you feel?” We’ll explore patterns, emotions, relationships, past experiences, and what may be happening within your nervous system. I’ll help you make connections, offer perspective, and gently challenge patterns when doing so can help you move forward.

And while our work may go deep, therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy every minute. There is room for warmth, humanity, and even humor along the way.

Coping skills can be incredibly valuable. Sometimes we need tools that help us regulate, get through a difficult moment, or feel more grounded in everyday life.

But I also believe therapy can go deeper.

Together, we can become curious about what is underneath the anxiety, the emotional reactions, the self-doubt, or the patterns that keep repeating. Rather than only managing what you feel, our work can help you understand where those responses come from and create space for something different.

My goal is that therapy helps you feel more connected to yourself, more trusting of your own internal experience, and more able to move through life from a place of greater safety and choice.

I want to help you heal, not just cope.

How I Approach Therapy

INSIGHT

Understanding the patterns, experiences, beliefs, and relationships that have shaped how you see yourself and respond to the world.

Learning to recognize what is happening within your nervous system and developing practical ways to create greater safety, regulation, and connection.

REGULATION

Going beyond intellectual understanding to process experiences that may still feel emotionally or physically “stuck,” using approaches such as Brainspotting and other trauma-informed methods when appropriate.

PROCESSING

Who I work best with.

I TEND TO WORK SPECIALLY WELL WITH ADULTS WHO…

• Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted despite appearing “fine” to others.
• Understand themselves intellectually but still feel stuck emotionally.
• Notice perfectionism, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or relationship patterns that keep repeating.
• Want therapy that offers both practical support and space for deeper healing.
• Are navigating the lasting impact of trauma or intergenerational patterns.
• Experience difficulties in relationships with partners, family members, friends, or coworkers.
• Are navigating maternal mental health concerns, including postpartum depression, anxiety, or birth-related trauma.
• Are navigating cultural, family, or intergenerational experiences related to immigration.

You don’t need to identify with every one of these experiences. What matters most is that you’re willing to become curious about yourself and open to exploring what may be underneath what you’re experiencing.
